Highlands Organic Farm & Orchard is a family owned venue located just 5 minutes from the township of Julian. When choosing Highlands for your wedding or event, you are guaranteed to provide your guests a holistic & immersive experience in the San Diego Mountains.
Our Story
It all started in 2019 when the Marsaglia family purchased the 10 acre property that is now known as Highlands. Coming from San Diego, there was a big adjustment period from city to mountain living. However, the slower pace of life and abundance of natural beauty was easy to embrace.
Since the beginning, Haley & Jeremy knew they wanted to transform Highlands into a mountain top venue. Their dream came true in 2022 when they became engaged & started looking for wedding venues themselves. They quickly realized how expensive traditional venues were & how there weren’t many options for couples who wanted a beautiful venue without the hefty price tag. It was through this journey that they decided to put their hands & hearts together in a whole new way & create the venue they had been envisioning. In Spring of 2023, they hosted their family & friends for a 2 day wedding celebration.
Here at Highlands, we envision a wedding for you that is affordable, without compromising style, taste & beauty. Our commitment is to make your experience easy, exciting & joyous.
In addition to being an event space, we care for over 200 organic fruits trees of multiple varieties & tend to a growing herd of sheep.
